Coming to Douglas Elliman as a seasoned and knowledgeable Associate Broker, Valerie joins with great synergy and equipped with a wholly aligned approach and philosophy about the industry: a deep knowledge of the Manhattan market, commitment to her clients, great problem solving skills, integrity and expertise. Whether it's helping clients purchase or sell, landlord representation or working with investors to find a property with great upside, Valerie possesses the skills, drive and personality to give each every one of her clients bespoke service and attention.
It's no surprise that Valerie calls NYC home or that she's enjoyed great success in passionately helping others do the same. Armed with a hunger for exploration and different perspectives, Valerie began to travel the world straight after college, visiting over 25 countries during the course of one year. It was an extraordinary and eye-opening experience; a semester abroad in Japan left her intrigued with the country so she returned to live in Sapporo, teaching English while studying Japanese. The beauty and subtlety of the culture, as well as the country's unique and humble approach to serving their clients, left a deep impression. Shortly after, she returned to New York and earned her MBA in international business while working with a Japanese relocation company, which helped her hone those skills and provide an analytical, full-service and warm approach to supporting her clients. 20+ years and hundreds of deals later, she maintains a strong network of clients who trust her as their go-to real estate advisor and rely deeply on her experience when considering their next move.
Valerie lives in Manhattan with her husband, her soccer-struck son and their two cats. When she isn't attending soccer games, she loves traveling, biking, hiking and exploring all neighborhoods in the city. No matter how busy she is, her clients know that they're always a priority and that they're in steady, reliable hands.
