Meet William
William Etheridge joins the McKenzie Ryan Team at Douglas Elliman following a stint at The Janus Property Company where he served as the Director of Commercial, Life Science and Retail Leasing. In this role he oversaw all marketing and leasing activities across Janus's portfolio, including its renowned 1.1 million-square foot Manhattanville Factory District in West Harlem, New York. Mr. Etheridge was previously a commercial leasing broker at Douglas Elliman Commercial, where he specialized in investment sales, office and retail leasing, representing both owners and tenants. His career includes key roles at Saks Fifth Avenue, the Upper Manhattan Empowerment Zone (UMEZ), and Chase Bank.
William holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Georgetown University's McDonough School of Business. He also attended Columbia University's Master of Science in Real Estate Development Program and is a proud graduate of the 2013 New York Real Estate Associate Program (REAP), an initiative that connects minority professionals with commercial real estate firms.
Originally from Queens, NY and a longtime Harlem resident, William resides in the Fleetwood section of the Bronx with his family. His focus includes office and retail leasing, multi-family investments and sales, and luxury residential opportunities across New York State.
He has represented clients such as L&M Development, Genesis Companies, Asland Capital, Comunilife, Gilbane and Company, and HAP Investments, in addition to other numerous private landlords, retail tenants and non-profit organizations.
William is deeply involved in community development, partnering with organizations such as the Harlem Business Alliance, The Georgetown University Alumni Admissions Program, The Harlem Community Development Corporation and Columbia University through its CU Grow Program. He is also a dedicated advocate for diversity in commercial real estate as an alumni of the Real Estate Associate Program (REAP), which aims to foster diversity, equity, and inclusion in the industry through education, mentorship, and collaboration.
